Three weeks in:)

Things are starting to calm down in the Luck household made ever easier by the dinners being provided by our friends...its amazing how much less stressed you are when you don't have to plan dinner while also playing trains with a two year old and feeding an infant!

Robert has become, for the most part, my big helper, most often when we run errands, like at the grocery store:

Now he asks to push the little cart all by himself at all the grocery stores...too bad Kroger hasn't jumped on the little cart bandwagon yet.

He has also fallen into the pretend play phase, which is awesome most of the time and exhausting the rest of the time...thank goodness for grandparents who are willing to play train and ride on it for hours...thanks mom:)
When we aren't playing train, he's playing his "new banjo" and obsession dating back to our visit to charleston earlier this summer...my amazing husband convinced our son that this was his banjo:
and so he plays it...constantly...singing the same song at the top of his lungs:) God love him.

And Joshua, well at this point he is content to eat, sleep and look so very handsome all the time...he's such an easy wonderful baby so far, we feel so blessed.

family resemblance??

So lots of people ask who Joshua looks like, and we have a good idea...you be the judge:

little Robert:
and Joshua:

keep in mind that the photos of Robert are from two weeks old while the ones from our Joshua are only a few days...that should explain how shocked and surprised we were to have an eight pound baby after my little Robert!

one week in...going strong, sort of.

One week in to life with two and although having a newborn is tough and draining physically, my sweet toddler is the one turning the house upside down...in many ways we are a bit shocked because really...he's a great kid, but at the same time, we prepared ourselves for meltdown central for a few weeks. He has his moments though, reminding us how wonderful he is...primarily when there is a grandparent here to play with him:

and he can be outside with his trucks and lawnmower..I swear if there were one toy that you couldn't pay me to give away, it would be this one:

Our littlest man has been growing and sleeping and eating like a champ...I had forgotten how much babies change in just one week, but he is wonderful and easy and we couldn't ask for a more content newborn:

We have very few delivery room photos because well, there wasn't time to grab the camera and I'm not a fan of post-birth photos of myself...but here's our guy a few hours old:

and now one week in:

There are few things that warm my heart more than the following two photos:

life in the Luck household is a blessed one....
