Two Weeks To Go (Which means Any Day Now)

We are now in the home stretch, counting in days instead of weeks or months. Everything is ready, we hope. We have the nursery set up except for the crib, which should be arriving any day. All the little clothes, hats, booties, blankets, bibs, and sheets have been washed with special baby detergent. The pictures are hung and the stuffed animals set up. Interestingly, it was packing the bags for the hospital that really made it hit home how close we are.

I have had a few extended discussions with Sabre about what it means to have a baby around the house. He is trying to mentally and emotionally prepare himself for our son's arrival. I think he is pretty excited about it, but not sure he like the idea of something crying in the middle of the night to wake him up.

According to the doctors, the baby is positioned well, his head is at minus 1, so it sounds like he is getting himself in the starting blocks. Lauren saw the doctor Monday and was at 1.5cm but as of today still nothing more than a few braxton hicks contractions. She will have her last day of teaching tomorrow, so anytime after 3:00pm and we are good to go.
